Is the world going to hell?

A little bit of positivity.

If not hellish certainly oddish. I thought you might get a grin out of this.

A University of Oxford event featuring the chance to meet "wellbeing alpacas" has backfired after students complained that their finals were being disrupted.

Campus officials brought in a herd of alpacas and a llama on Wednesday to the lawn outside the Radcliffe Camera library, a university landmark built in the 18th century to be its focal point.

Students were sent an email saying they were "invited to drop in" to the event, which was designed to "support wellbeing across the university" as "a great way to de-stress and take a break from your desk".

However, students holed up in the Radcliffe Camera and other libraries to study for their final exams were unimpressed as crowds gathered to meet the animals and take selfies.

Students said the noise from the alpacas meet-and-greet was so distracting that some felt forced to move libraries to be able to revise in peace.
