Craft cannabis industry in California is 'on the brink of collapse,' advocates say

LOS ANGELES — Cannabis advocates, small farmers and business owners called Thursday for an overhaul of the California marijuana tax system as they struggle to keep afloat amid rising operating and regulatory costs.


Of course they are. If regulatory costs aren't high enough, they won't be driven out of the market. If they aren't driven out the market, they'll get to compete with the big sellers (read the Cartels). Can't have that.
