Jamie Dimon Apologizes for Joke About JPMorgan Outlasting China’s Communist Party - WSJ

On Wednesday, Mr. Dimon said, “I regret and should not have made that comment. I was trying to emphasize the strength and longevity of our company.”

In a second statement later in the day, Mr. Dimon added, “I regret my recent comment because it’s never right to joke about or denigrate any group of people, whether it’s a country, its leadership, or any part of a society and culture.”

On Wednesday afternoon in Beijing, Zhao Lijian, an official from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sidestepped a question about Mr. Dimon’s remarks during a daily press conference and dismissed media reports on it as attempts to draw eyeballs.

Nobody expects the Chinese Communist Party.

The CCP is not known for its sense of humor.

"it’s never right to joke about ... any group of people ...

Tripe, and cowardly tripe at that.
