The family gap | Spectator USA

In sum, beneath the snark about the Barretts ran two unmistakable currents: first, that a great many people on the progressive side are now ignorant of an elementary human reality — namely, that there are families with more than one or two kids; and secondly, that a lot of woke women, in particular, were moved to fury at the mere sight of a mom of several. What is fury, but the flip side of loss?

The Brutal Rise of El Mencho

Mencho has also displayed a savagery that’s extreme even by narco standards. For the admittedly brutal Chapo, killing was a necessary part of business. For Mencho, it seems more like sadism as public spectacle. There have been mass killings, such as the 35 bound and tortured bodies dumped in the streets of Veracruz during evening rush hour in 2011. Two years later, CJNG operatives raped, killed and set fire to a 10-year-old girl whom they (mistakenly) believed was a rival’s daughter. In 2015, CJNG assassins executed a man and his elementary-school-age son by detonating sticks of dynamite duct-taped to their bodies, laughing as they filmed the ghastly scene with their phones. “This is ISIS stuff,” says one DEA agent who has investigated the cartel. “The manner in which they kill people, the sheer numbers – it’s unparalleled even in Mexico.”

Maybe I'll put off that trip to Mexico.

Campus Reform | U Arizona backtracks after punishing student for criticizing school COVID policy

"I am pleased that my sanctions were changed but I believe no student should have to go through this ordeal. It is important to stand up for your rights, especially as a student," Orsay said. "None of this would have been possible without my Administrative Hearing Advisor John Dalton, who is also Chairman of Legislative District 9. It is important to have advocates like him to help navigate the insanity of college bureaucracy.

Hunter Biden Laptop Lawsuit Gives Twitter Unpleasant Legal Choices

On Monday, attorneys for the owner of the Delaware-based computer shop who serviced Hunter Biden’s laptop filed suit in a Florida federal district court against Twitter for defamation. John Paul Mac Isaac’s lawsuit alleges Twitter defamed him by labeling him a hacker in an attempt to justify its censorship of The New York Post’s bombshell story exposing the younger Biden selling access to his father.

Wokeism Should Terrify Liberals | Opinion

You may have assumed that woke activism was a sideshow, destroying academic institutions and The New York Times.Yet here it had penetrated an important, once-revered government scientific agency and it was affecting, not who gets to edit the Times op-ed page but basic questions of life and death for millions.

Georgia ballot signature audit: No fraud, only two mismatches out of 15,000 envelopes examined

Or, I suppose, we might conclude that there was never any vote-rigging conspiracy considering that a hand recount and an automated recount and a signature audit of a random sample of mail-in ballots from Cobb County have all failed to produce any evidence of cheating in Georgia. But since conspiracy theories are unfalsifiable by nature, there’s no amount of debunking that can put the theory to rest. There’s always another unturned stone somewhere that’s concealing “the truth.”
