Washington Post raises 'darker suspicions' about Trump's Russia stance | TheHill

The Post's editorial board questioned Trump's praise of Putin after the Russian leader decided not to take countermeasures against the U.S.
"The president-elect’s dismissive response only deepens unanswered questions about his ties to Russia in the past and his plans for cooperation with Vladimir Putin," the newspaper wrote.

I'm refraining from my usual bold and unwavering announcement of my positions on these Russian-related topics because I don't think it's possible for someone who's not an intelligence professional to know what's going on. Probably the Russians are lying about not hacking anything. Wikileaks says they didn't get their leaks from the Russians, but of course they wouldn't have. American intelligence leakers are being even shiftier than usual. Obama and the DNC say it was the Russians, but it's impossible to know when if at all they have stopped lying. The MSM is lying its head off to discredit Trump. But that doesn't mean they don't occasionally tell the truth, like the proverbial stopped clock. The Trumpsters themselves may be lying partly or mostly, or just be naive about their leader's views and ambitions about Russia, or they may in fact all be relatively innocent. Of course there's plenty of chatter in the right wing blog-o-sphere saying, it's all a trumped up lie. And it goes on, wheels within wheels within wheels. If you forget it's about people's lives, it's all rather fascinating.
