So I conclude that, notwithstanding the few brave activists among us, we humans, as a species, are selfish and short sighted. It's our lizard brain. We will wipe ourselves out, (there is a huge genre of post apocalyptic fiction laying the groundwork for this) and I say good. We don't deserve to be the dominant species on the planet. Unfortunately, we also doom innocent species and activists.
