Rush the Great
Tom Smith

This is some kind of spin within the spin.  Of course perish the thought that anyone should enquire as to why Rush resonates with the clinging masses.  This reminds me of the '80s and all the blather about how RR was a great communicator rather than somebody who actually had good ideas and the right direction. Maybe it's not the medium, but the message.

It's absurd. I like Rush as much as the next conservative ... well ... maybe not quite as much ..., but the notion that he is the major force in the conservative resurgence is laughable. Polls indicate that he is deeply unpopular with a significant number of voters. It pays for Democrats and other left-leaning folks to try to suggest that Rush Limbaugh is behind the Tea Party Movement, the Republican Party and anything else that they want to make unpopular.
