Miranda silliness
Tom Smith
It's just dumb to treat failed suicide bombers come here from abroad to wreak havoc as if they were caught shoplifting. It's good to know it's not legally required either. In fact, the authority seems to be to the contrary.

The sad thing is, it's apparently no longer socially acceptable to point out that it's just as dumb to Mirandize people who were caught shoplifting. When did the criminals' rights revolution make the transition from ludicrous judicial overreach to sacrosanct pillar of American justice?

Maybe I slept through some changes in Amerikan law, but didn't there used to be a rule that a person couldn't be determined to be a suicide bomber or any other type of criminal until a trial were held?
