Dogs steal mail carrier's lunch, then their apology note goes viral - CBS News

It read: "Hey! I drove up to deliver a package and both of the dogs crawled in my truck. They got into my lunch and ate an egg and some carrots and pumpkin seeds. I don't know if that will upset their tummies, just FYI!"

My lab would have eaten the lunch then the rest of the mail. I've given up keeping track of all the things he's eaten. This week we discovered he can somehow get up to the back of the kitchen counter, at least we think so, since a chicken that was thawing was very messily transported to my study and there consumed collectively by all 3 dogs. I've mentioned before all manner of foodstuffs as well as light bulbs and other items usually considered inedible. When we took him to the vet on an unrelated matter and were talking to a tech, she was unimpressed. She had recently seen a lab that had eaten a bag of thumb tacks.

What we could do with is a pooch that would eat ants. We are having trouble getting rid of some unwelcome intruders.

My pitbull budda would eat exploding firecrackers -- the little ones.
