Where Do Those of Us Go Who Believe in Limited Government? - TheResurgent.com

Mark Sanford has lost his re-election. I actually supported Sanford when he ran for Congress after his scandal. He had been very public about his failings, publicly apologized, and I was fine with offering both forgiveness and support for his campaign.

Oh for Pete's sake. Call me back when some libertarian Republican who hasn't snuck off to Argentina to rendezvous with his lover loses his reelection. That's the kind of thing Democrats do or used to. He can become a lobbyist now, make lots of money and live how he wants. Get a condo in Buenos Aires. Sounds OK.

I've never been to BA but a youngish member of my extended family is a great fan of the place. He reckons that The Americas have three "world cities": BA, NYC, SF. I tried to argue that Havana should be on his list but to no avail. He's been there too.

I insisted on adding Vancouver: I've been there, he hasn't. The case of San Diego never arose.
