Trump’s defense has collapsed - NY Daily News

My view was: Collusion? I just don’t see it. But I’m open to empirical evidence. Show me.

The evidence is now shown. This is not hearsay, not fake news, not unsourced leaks. This is an email chain released by Donald Trump Jr. himself. A British go-between writes that there’s a Russian government effort to help Trump Sr. win the election, and as part of that effort he proposes a meeting with a “Russian government attorney” possessing damaging information on Hillary Clinton. Moreover, the Kremlin is willing to share troves of incriminating documents from the Crown Prosecutor. (Error: Britain has a Crown Prosecutor. Russia has a State Prosecutor.)

I don't know. Can you have a crime of attempted collusion? Oh, probably. Conspiracy is pretty vague. I'd be inclined to just let it go, but our betters disagree.

This is Charles Krauthammer, hammer of the neo-cons.

It's pathetic, a tale so feeble that it would make a cat laugh. His opponent was the treasonous racketeer Hillary Clinton, and people want to fuss that his son met a woman who didn't know anything useful. Pah! Double pah!

The very fact that the intermediary had to explain to the Trumpites that Moscow wanted to help proves that the farrago of claims up till now are tosh. And then nothing happened anyway. It all sounds suspiciously like a sting by the Obamaites.
