Artists are four times more likely to kill themselves | Daily Mail Online

Data collected by the Office for National Statistics found that the suicide rate among people working in creative roles is significantly higher than the national average.

Not surprising considering that the word "artist" is nothing more than a polite way of saying "mentally ill."
