Why the Creator of 'The Young Pope' Wanted Beyoncé's "Halo" on the Show | GQ

The Young Pope, which ended its first (and maybe only) season last night, was never at a loss for striking music cues. The first few episodes of the season played with the seeming contradiction at the heart of the show's premise (a young pope!) with largely contemporary song choices, ranging from electronic to Andrew Bird. And the season's midpoint featured one of the flashiest, most mind-blowing TV sequences in recent memory as Jude Law's Lenny Belardo (aka Pius XIII) got ready for a formal address to LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It."

I've watched the show, and it's really stupid. I could tell you why but just take my word for it.
