"The complaint alleges that he arrived ... with some personal baggage": a university not unknown to you, Mr Smith, hired a foreign Head with baggage, witnessed him publicly disparage the institution and its staff, import his mistress, export his wife back to their home country, and winkle a senior administrator out of his job before awarding it to the aforementioned mistress. Or so it is alleged. Anyway they sacked the bugger. Or at least he left under less than customary circumstances.

Whether the said university ever got a refund from its headhunters I don't know; I do know that the man's reputation was already mud in his country of origin, where many a head had been scratched when his appointment was announced.

P.S. I say "foreign" but most of us don't view citizens of that land as entirely foreign. Indeed, many of us probably have enough friends or relations there that the man's reputation should have been known to the University of ****** before they blundered.
