What if Obamacare Software Crashes and Burns? | RealClearPolitics

But if Obamacare's software crashes, the consequences will be catastrophic -- for the nation and for the Democratic Party.

There is a great deal of ruin in a nation, as Professor Smith so wisely observed. The other Professor Smith.

How long will it be before someone's unfortunate death can be plausibly attributed to the Obamacare fiasco? How much longer will it be after that before The Media admits as much?

I just did a graph of the trendlines for GDP growth and Total Government Spending (Fed, State, Local). If you invert the Government Spending and divide it by 7, it starts in 1949 at about 3.5% and declines to about 2.1%. That's to start both trend lines at about 4%.

It shows an incredibly precise 64 year correlation between GDP growth declining from 4.4% 10Y average in the 1950s to 1.8% 10Y average today as government spending increased from about 21.5% to about 36.5%.

That's got to be the GDP message in 2014.

I tried to paste it here in the comments, but could not. If you post a way for me to send it to you over the next three days, I will. I don't have the access to promote it.

Correction. You have to take government spending, divide by 12.5, take the inverse of that and multiply by 7. That starts you off at 4 as GDP growth in 1949 starts at 4.4%. Both trend downward very precisely. It's a great graph. I've never seen it and it's compelling for cutting government spending to 1950s levels.
