Barone: Going out on a limb: Romney beats Obama, handily | Michael Barone WashingtonExaminer.com

Bottom line: Romney 315, Obama 223. That sounds high for Romney. But he could drop Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and still win the election. Fundamentals.

Barone is a very smart guy and knows about a hundred times more than he even lets on in his columns. Did I mention I have dined with him? (thanks Gail). Anyway, what Barone says. Could turn out the other way obviously, if the union turnout machine works a bit more efficiently than usual, or the Sandy bump grows or persists. And I doubt PA is a pickup, though that would be a hoot. Remember, even if { } wins, the House will stay GOP and much mischief will be averted, and after two more years of economic misery, the midterms will be ugly if the Dems are in power. Liberty will weep, but she will not perish. (h/t PR) Separation of powers is our friend. Thanks again, Framers. --TS
