Study: Death Row inmates pick comfort foods for last meals - CBS News

On death row, last meals tend to be high in calories and heavy on meat.

French fries, soda, ice cream, hamburgers, chicken, steak and pie are commonly requested items among inmates imminently facing execution, according to Cornell University researchers who studied 193 last meal requests in the United States.

For my part, I would be torn between a big rare steak and some fries, or just a gallon of high end chocolate ice cream. I am aware of fancier fare, but you would want to keep the limitations of prison cuisine in mind. A bad steak, and you would be wishing you had just chosen the ice cream. If you had been a model prisoner, maybe they would bring you both. --TS

Why not a high fat meal, with lots of alcohol and smokes?
It's not like you're going to be around for heart disease or cancer to get you.

I'd choose a whale. That might put off the evil hour by a year or three.
