High speed rail madness
Tom Smith

This is a project about making a select group of Cal political hacks richer than they already are.  They have dollar signs in their eyes and it would make them so sad to let it go.  I cannot believe anybody without a direct financial interest in this silliness seriously thinks that it makes any economic sense at all.  Private investment money?  Maybe if you guarantee returns, irrespecitive of whether people actually ride the thing.  But normal, I think this is going to make money, private investment? Ho ho. This isn't public policy.  It's just larceny.  It would be more honest to pass The Political Hackster Enrichment Act of 2012, and a lot cheaper too.
