IMHO an ugly house. It would not even be a particulary beautiful hotel. It manages to actually look bigger than it is, if it is only 20,000 square feet. The trick would be to make such a giant house still look like a home, which they have failed to do. I may have to root for the Giants.

I am very capitalist person. I love the free market!
Yet nevertheless I think some people have too much money. Like these two.
Thirty-four and thirty-one years of age. I would love to have an audio tape of the meetings with the architect.

They earned it (such as the market values their rather ephemeral contributions to humanity), they have the right to squander it as they please.

I used to live in Kona. A lot of mega-MacMansions are built there. I knew some guys in the trades and one of them told me that they were often built incredibly cheaply. Sacrifices were made in the quality of material in order to achieve a certain "look" within budget, maintainability was given a low priority because the owners expected to sell it within a year or two. Other problems were petulant owners who changed the design almost daily and start-stop construction schedules as the value of real estate rose and fell.
In that way construction of a big house can be very like the construction of a hotel.

...And I bet the grapes in their personal vineyard are really sour, too...
