I guess the answer is no. So now we find out that the CIA pays Hamid Karzai's opium dealing brother.
Of course, there is no way to be certain of who or why the leak occurred, but my guess it was by some opponents of a surge in Afghanistan, who wanted to make our policy look bad and the possibility of a good civilian government seem unlikely. It would also be nice if the New York Times would say something about the likely motivations or circumstances of the leakers, but no such luck.
Update: Of course, there are some limits to the leaks. So when someone leaked information about Valerie Plame, a special prosecutor was appointed and the nonleaker was convicted. Now, that's helpful.

Dont be bitter about the Valerie Plame ordeal. After all, it was President Bush who went on television and promised that the "leaker" would be brought to justice. He just forgot to check with Dick first.
