This is a must read. Let the record reflect I am a human-caused-global-warming-hypothesis skeptic. I would proudly sport a "global warming theory is a crock" bumper sticker on my Suburban, but I fear some enlightened person would vandalize my truck. I'm not a denier exactly. I just think if you want to transform how our species lives on this planet, you have the burden of proof. If there are models that have predicted what will happen climatically on a big scale with human activity as the explanatory variable, and then it happened, I would like to hear of it. Back-testing doesn't count. Back-testing is sales, not science. The religious fervor over it, calls to obey the consensus, etc., increase my skepticism.

So it may be unwise to fret at a lack of swine flu jabs. I will shortly be offered one by Her Majesty's Government. With the side effects unknown, I am minded to refuse.

From everything I have read, the case for anthropogenic global warming (AGW) is even weaker than you suggest. I have read several articles indicating that the computer models on which AGW predictions are based do not accurately predict the PAST!!! If a model cannot predict the past, it surely cannot be relied on to predict the future.
