I don't why people are so upset at the new unemployment numbers. True, unemployment measures jobs lost. But the fact is, without the Obama stimulus package, many, many, many more jobs would have been lost. As many as eleventy-gazillion jobs that would have been lost were in fact saved. The man is a genius and this is a miracle.
At this time of national crisis and high unemployment, I would like to gently remind the White House that I am still open to a job in this administration as long as it is well paid and does not require me to do any work. I know there are lots of government jobs like this and with so much more public spending, there are bound to be more. Producing statements like the one above in my first paragraph, I can do all day. Help me help you help us. That's all I'm saying. And pay me.
I think you should also insist on a tax waiver for as long as you work there ;->

Do your qualifications include having fiddled your tax returns? If not, you may be precluded from a position in the Treasury.

Let's see...under Clinton increases in taxes were termed "investments". Now, we have something even more ephemeral: jobs "saved". And yet, employment continues to decline. Bah Humbug!
