The line is from The Exorcist, but this post is about Google vs. Microsoft and Google's announcement that it's going to enter the OS market. I'm skeptical, as is this observer. I think this is hubris on Google's part, hard to believe as that may be. I have also been struck by how poorly Chrome is working for me lately just as a browser. What's up with that? In critical applications, it's going to be a rare business that switches over to Chrome/Linux. Plus in terms of squid overlordish qualities, the only difference between the companies is branding.
Google seems to be more (overtly, anyway) anti-traditionalist Americana.
