Thanks for the valuable link. My brother has had the misfortune to visit Africa many times, the last nearly being murdered by police. He will tell you the dominating characteristic that forms brains there is brutality. He sees it in the children.
It is true only those of great faith live outside that culture, and in Cameroon, there are not many, so they stand out.
I see a clear parallel here. All the ex-convicts I have seen who have left that life are evangelicals. And it is no act--they are genuinely good people who are happy.

Bill Gates should give a billion dollars to a diversified portfolio of Christian missions working in Africa, if he really wants to change the world. That would be thinking outside the box. He could even do it secretly.
